  • Retail Renovation how to build a £1BN business

    Challenge

    Build an innovative retail concept into a £1bn business.

    How do you take a collection of best-in-class brands, some with existing store estates, some with only an online presence and curate a new and compelling retail concept? One with today’s customer at the heart of everything.

    Approach

    After detailed analysis of the brief and potential customers, we gathered relevant specialist industry contacts together. Then identified the ‘gap’ in the market that this new concept would fill. We space planned, collaborating with our expert contacts on look and feel.

    Elevate undertook numerous site visits with our project team to understand estimated costs and liaised with a data company to provide Pilot-site catchment analysis.

    We made assumptions and projections to build out a 5-year P&L. This incorporated two different retail concepts under one brand.

    Then we got to grips with the operational requirements and identified what success would look like. Putting together the organisational chart, we pinpointed complementary growth opportunities through concessions and partnership models.

    1.A 5-year business plan to ensure growth and establish a £1Bn business – signed off and adopted by investor client – Richard Harpin.

    2. Fifteen different retail brands sourced and engaged with, to find innovative partnership and leasing solutions.

    3. Pilot site identified, format and concept developed to facilitate successful delivery, using a team of expert industry consultants delivered through our Elevate network.

  • Store Growth & International Expansion

    Challenge

    How do you prioritise and deliver successful store growth?

    Approach

    Initially appointed by Charles Tyrwhitt to implement and deliver a growth strategy in the UK, we collaborated directly with their Finance, Property, and Retail teams. Elevate took accountability and ownership of the new stores pipeline. Building strong relationships and a trusted way of working, our scope expanded internationally to include studies in France and further store development the USA. Data interpretation, allied to our unique all-round experience, allowed us to successfully deliver new store growth in collaboration with the great team at Charles Tyrwhitt.

    Our experience and ability to connect the dots, helped us analyse multiple data sources within the business. Working with the respective teams and applying our knowledge & contact base within the market delivered results.   The approach resulted in a successful store expansion programme together with a wider scope of engagement.

  • Consumer led Leasing & Asset strategy

    Challenge

    How do you support Redical’s new leasing team, so they hit the ground running?

    Approach

    Following the appointment of Redical's new leasing and asset team, we collaborated closely with their team to ensure a smooth start. Elevate conducted detailed analysis of customer data for Victoria Leeds, and Liberty, Romford, shopping centres. We interpreted and analysed key trends and opportunities, then overlaid our unique expertise to create carefully calibrated consumer-facing, data-led leasing and asset strategies.

    Our approach included:

    Multiple site visits.

    Engaging with marketing teams, on-site management, retained retail agents, and key retailers.

    Holding meetings with the new Leasing Directors.

    The curated leasing and asset plans were designed to be collaborative and adaptable, forming a trusted platform for the new team to build upon and continue evolving the centres.

    Challenge

    How do you manage a 27-strong UK restaurant portfolio without an expert property resource in the business?

    Approach

    We became the resource, providing property function support to the Senior Leadership Team and internal stakeholders. Elevate focused on portfolio optimisation and new store opportunities for Comptoir. Operating as an integral part of the team, we delivered tried-and-tested expertise on demand, mentoring less experienced team members, and ensuring the best outcomes through our network of industry connections. Our involvement has included:
